We're doing something a bit novel at work.
Basically the guys who want to take part make a donation and grow their beards.
On the second last day, the rest of the team get to nominate what the beards should be on the last day with another donation.
Then on the last day, the best beard gets a prize and a certificate.
There have been a few fundraisers at work and it was easier to do this rather than do the standard thing of door knocking, walking, running, cycling etc to raise money.
If this goes well, next year we might make up badges/pins to show who's taking part in the event.
We're doing it this way because the company doesn't have an entry into the event. It's surprising considering we're a male dominated organisation, but then again, men have been known to be blasé about their health.
